Hubby & I hung out today

November 15th 2008 in Not So Deep Thoughts

We recently moved into a really nice gated community, and they offer quite a few amenities to their residents. Among them, a resort sized pool, a fitness center that’s open 24 hours a day, a bark park, club house with kitchen, pool table, living room with fireplace, a walking trail, tennis courts, basketball courts and a sand volley ball court. Oh, and a huge playground for the kiddies.

Since Hubby leaves in less than 72 hours for Army Basic Training (yes, I am a NEW Army Wife), we’ve been trying to hang out and spend as much time together as possible. The past couple of weeks have been crazy for us, what with moving into our new digs here and him having to leave shortly. So, this evening we decided to unwind by shooting some pool.

Here we are shooting pool: [click for larger image]

I also took a shot of the kitchen while we were up there. The kitchen actually faces the pool room area, and you can see it in the image of John that I posted.

Having that kitchen there is just like being in your own home. You can use the microwave, put on a pot of coffee, etc. Using it is included in the price you pay to live here. I LOVE this place!

We had the best time together, just hanging out, being silly and shooting pool. It really sucks that he’s leaving in a couple of days for Basic Training, but on the bright side, he will be home again next month for two weeks for the Christmas Exodus break! :)

It was a nice, blustery sort of fall day today so we decided to take a leisurely stroll on the walking trail and check out the Bark Park (since I had never been there before). Fall is one of my favorite seasons. I love the brisk cool air and the changing colors of [...]
